I'm Naval Ravikant and I've been around the startup world for a while.
I started a few companies, back in good ol' bubble days - Genoa Corporation (acquired by Finisar), and Epinions, to name a few.
I made half a dozen investments as a VC, for a few years, in some great companies like Scintera, Neopath, Technorati, Microdisplay, DeviceScape, and Mimosa. However, I got out of the business before it completely ate my soul.
I've also helped numerous friends start companies and been an advisor to them. Some of the companies that I've helped with everything from founding to product design to fundraising include iPivot, Intrinsic Graphics, Bix, XFire, HedgeStreet, Engage, Photo.net, Loyalty Lab, Jaman, Hive7, Karmus, GreatNonProfits, and more...
